Collaboratrix

A collaborator, catalyst, muse and dominatrix mixed into one. Someone you ad or bring into the mix at an early stage of creative development when you feel something is missing but you just don't know what. A confidante who will inspire you to get out of bed in the morning and start what you finished, or make something new and even better. A modern-day artist's muse who actually gets some credit (rather then the tortured silent suffering uncredited muses of yesteryear.)

Coca-Cola employed a major ad agency to develop their new campaign but it wasnt until a collaboratrix was called into the office, that the team really got their pitch together. A collaboratrix catalyses ideas in the people she agrees/decides to work with. A collaboratrix's work involves brainstorming, goal setting, bringing out the best in people and being spontaneious. The talented genius worked alone in his little studio painting everyday, once he met a collaboratrix his art was taken to a whole new level- global exhibitions, magazine spreads and a lot of buzz followed. The collaboratirx is more goal focused andbossier then an old-fashioned muse. To be a collaboratrix you have to be able to put your ego to one side and focus on win-win ideas and solutions.

Gurbanuru

An Urban Guru. An inspiring person with good advice and an objective opinion, also with few airs and graces. Usually in the yogic sense but also adaptable to cultural experts or humanitarians. Usually slightly older as it takes time and experience to become a Gurbanuru.

On the way home I bumped into a Gurbanuru on the subway...this totally random person who gave me incredible advice on love and relationships. A Gurbanuru knows what the world we live in is really like and has a good balance of enlightenment and practically; also a good understanding of popular culture. Deepak Chopra, Eckhart Tolle, Shakti Mhi, David Sye, Terry McBride, Douglas Coupland, William Gibson and many others..

kitsch

Collectible, nostalgia inducing products, artworks or people. At some point mass produced and at a later point rising in value and sentimentality. Souvenires, paraphernalia and memorabilia. written off as junk by the untrained eye. Appreciated as naive and beautiful by those wityh a discerning eye and a refined sense of aesthetic.

The artwork of Jeff Koons, David La Chappelee and Pierre et Gilles is so Kitsch! Essentially anything collectible is Kitsch. At first glance this may seem like a pile of junk, but it is actually a large collection of collectibles and kitsch which people will probably pay a lot of money for on ebay.
