1. An oft-overlooked, semi-transparent, typically overweight, and easily replaced member of any good rock band. 2. Usually the person in a rock band with no say in any band decisions. 3. A guy who hangs out with musicians.
I can always tell when the bass player hasn't shown up because we will get something accomplished at band practice.
