Jews at the border between conservative and orthodox. Depending on how you see it, either orthodox who have relaxed and are almost conservative, or conservatives who have become more observant and turned to orthodoxy.

A slow-witted and slovenly dressed resident of the far east corner of the lower east side of Manhattan. Speaks in long, rambling sentences and has difficulty forming logical connections. Maladapted to basic human sociablity. Rarely goes west of Essex or north of Grand.
