A group of government hired, badly trained but well paid gangsters who project their anger towards the citizens. They are so called HONG KONG POLICE FORCE The main reason why they being called popo is that it sounds like a dog name and they behave like dogs with rabies.

Tear gas is fantastic. When HK citizens smoke too much of expired tear gas during peaceful "riots" , they get addicted to the tear gas with cyanide and say this.
