Los Angeles is very possibly the greatest city on Earth, actually it is, at the very least, the most influential city on Earth. It is the center of U.S. culture, "pop" culture anyway, which is what is most important these days. U.S. culture spreads though the world via film and TV, nearly all of which is conceived and produced in L.A.

A teen watches some L.A. conceived and created movie/TV show once and she/he can be completely moved into certain purchasing modes, political modes, and general lifestyle views.
