A fork of Rural Dictionary
Someone that tries to talk in a dock worker language but has the soul of a perpetual college student or bubble pop adolescent.
The poseur called her husband Daniel Tosh Jr. pal, it didn't sound right because that wasn't her, and really it wasn't him either.
Someone that called people that were different something like obnoxious in high school or after, then started going for an image that was more like the people he/she was trying to make fun of.
The poseur would always try to make fun of people that he/she saw as in front her in line until she found out they were never in line to begin with, then the poseur got angry (in a repressed manner) and became more like an imitation of these folks, always acting different or colorful to compensate for being plain, dull, and lifeless (someone that is around primarily to drain life) beneath the surface.
Someone that has a screen name on a website they use to tell people in a town they had relatives from an area of that town, though their relatives are from a different part of the country to try and gain the trust of the residents of the town, all to try and walk all over them all by calling them NIMBY's when they oppose, disagree, or resist the poseur.
The poseur was an instigator, a self-described liar with a big ass mouth, the kind of person to lock down their town with lies, so why would anyone trust someone like that? If the poseur said that she wouldn't have a building demolished there (even though the poseur wasn't even from there originally) why would anyone believe the poseur? Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.
Someone that liked Barney the purple dinosaur, Power Rangers, Lil Kim, Britney Spears, and a bunch of other bubblegum pop or mainstream music as a kid and tried to make fun of "weird" music like Nirvana, Nine Inch nails, or even Marilyn Manson, (calling it devil's music or music for people obsessed with sex) then at an oppurtune time in life when he/she sees an advantage or benefit in doing so, claims to love this kind of music and memorizes all the songs, lyrics, and life stories about them so that he/she will beat anybody (Buzz Lightyear style) at his/her superficial, trivia kind of knowledge of music history game about each band.
The poseur doesn't listen to the music to go back to another time, it's not really anywhere in his/her memory or heart, he/she holds nothing sacred, it's just a means to an end for him/her to try and gain newfound stripes with a group of people that he/she hopes won't see right through him/her.
Someone that gets on social media to post about "living" by showing off a picture of themself climbing a hill or doing something else that makes them look "active", then rants about other people that use social media to talk about life, even though they're on social media themselves.
If living is what that poseur is doing, I don't want any part of it. I like my life the way it is, and if the poseur has anything to say directly to anybody that he/she has deemed more passive than him/her, why doesn't he/she?
How a poser spells "poser". As the online etymology dictionary states, "The word is English poser in French garb, and thus could itself be considered an affectation." The French word "poseur" is absolutely not used in that context, which further points out that this spelling is not the correct, original one.
A phony youtuber that claims they always get sent death threats and drama when really hardly anybody pays attention to or knows who they are.
The youtube poseur thought that he/she the most important/influential person in the world, you could tell by the way they described what happened to people with a youtube channel, and you would think their was an army coming for this guy/girl on every front when in reality most people thought that he/she was about as interesting as watching paint dry, a couple of dorks that felt betrayed by the SS because it collapsed in the 1940's.
