The male half of a couple engaged in the hotwife kink that helps his partner hook up with men she finds attractive. He may break the ice, build her up in conversation, and help her with logistics. A wingman husband will approach this as a partnership for her to get what she desires, though the hotwife kink often does not involve the husband playing as a threesome. (That's it's own thing. See swinger and threesome.)
This term arose to differentiate from a "cuckhold", who is the male half of a hotwife couple that plays in the context of submission or a humiliation fetish.
A wife acting in the same role as a wingman husband is called a "wing woman".
Wife: "Oh, he looks hot. Do you feel like being my wingman husband tonight?"
Husband: "Hang tight, baby. I'll see if he's alone and wants to come over for a drink."
