Filo

The slang term "Filo" is generally used by philippinos that think they are really cool and better than everyone else just because they are Asian. A few years ago at my school there was this filo girl and she bullied me and make me breakdown and my self esteem was very low. Some filos are nice

- slang being widely used in multi-cultural countries (e.g. Australia) to address one's background as being a "Filipino"

there are several meanings to the word "filo"
1. an individual of filipino heritage, often 1/8th another nationality eg. chinese or spanish.
2. an individual who can survive on the following foods for their entire life- spam, corn beef, rice, vienna sausage and sardines in a can.
3. an individual who speaks one of the following languages: cebuano, tagalog, ibunug, visayan etc. when speaking in their provincial dialect, they speak quickly and are almost impossible to understand to an outsider filo. however, to those outside of the provinces they are limited in their language and so often use english for obscure words.
4.an individual in a multicultural community, they often speak in tagalog when swearing or when conversing with a fellow filo may also be called flip, flipster, etc

FILO

FILO means filipino and this word started since 1988... one guy from sydney started this 'slang word' FILO and now its almost going around the globe...

no wonder he still have he's number plate on... FILO
