This person may or may not have social skills, but often is alone. This may be through choice, or just not having any friends, but these are people who are happy in their own company.
Loners are cool, they don't need anyone to glorify their existance
Basically, a person who likes being alone. Unlike the social attitude that says people who are alone are really unhappy inside, many loners are actually the happiest when they're alone. Rather than finding solace in friends and family, they find solace in things such as video games, Internet, books, etc. But the main way political beliefs are inputted into people is through being social and associating one's self with others. So unfortunately, many loners tend to have radical beliefs and hold morals that greatly differ from their peers and even their own family. To put it simply, you can find a communist in a family of patriotic Americans or a conservative in a family of liberals.
Grandfather: Women's rights should be the main concern! Father: Gay marriage should be allowed! Son: Welfare should be abolished!
A person who is naturally unsocial and tries hard to hide it in a naturally social world. A person who walks alone, hates being approached, and spends their free time alone. A person is accustomed to being alone. A person compensates their social flaws through arts and sports. You might not be able to spot them right away but within one conversation you'll know who they are. You'll usually find them sitting alone or on their computer. You might mistaken their social awkwardness for retardation. Generally society ignores them but assholes never fuck off. Some people want their attention and will be assholes to get it. People critisize loner calling them depressed, socially unstable, or pretentious. But they are simply people who feel more comfortable by themselves because they have nothing to say. Loners are not boring,you'll find a bestfriend in one if you take the time to get to know one.

Loners prefer to do just about everything.....alone. Sleeping alone, shopping alone, driving alone, eating alone, working on projects alone, you name it. They don't need to be around people and mostly aren't. Loners are generally content being in their own company, with their own thoughts, and in their own constructions. Contrary to common perceptions, Loners are usually good at talking to people.
Most people aren't worth my time anymore. My Loner inclinations may have hatched out of a combination of factors, but I'm more content concerning myself with what is meaningful rather than what the crowd is doing.
Of a person, human being that has no friends whatsoever and maybe no family. They are alone. Alone... No company, no body waiting at home, no one. They don't necessarily like being alone, or having no company OR maybe they do, ^All of the above was basically my meaning of a HARDCORE loner. But Loners typically means of a person maybe in a some kind of situation where they are alone or typically at schools or any social environments. Maybe loners like to be alone, choose to be alone or don't mind it. But others don't and wonder why things are the way they are...
