Imo, nu-rave is not indie pop or garbage like that, it is the early 90's rave scene comming around again with new producers and dj's replicating the combined sound of (RAVE BREAKS, HARDCORE BREAKS, AND JUNGLE TECHNO) I consider myself as a nu-rave dj, and after all the word RAVE became popular in the late 80's early 90's depicting the huge dance and party movement, that was untill the criminal justice act :(. So in a nut shell I am a nu-raver and i'll always be an old skool raver as well.
hardcore breaks jungle techno nu-rave
the genre that came out after no self respecting pre-teen wanted to be called emo anymore. soon its gonna be the same. Hell, it even looks the same in some ways. it also has the same "oh this band is so yesterday, look at this new band, they are so new i had no chance to listen to them now, but they must be cool, 'cause they're all new, right?"- attitude. the joke is: nu rave isn't even nu at all, its simply madchester reloaded. the only thing original is hadouken! 'cause they have MC parts in some songs...what an invention!
nu rave is so emo... remember emo?
Nu Rave - Maybe the worst form of music to hit the British Isles for many a year. Poorly played tunes (to be 'ironic', or perhaps 'avant garde', obviously) by upper-class kids who were in need of a shag and realised that instead of actually paying for the privilege, they could form a selection of terrible bands, rake in money from the type of idiots who live and die by the NME, and get groupie love for free. Classic.
"I find Nu Rave an interesting area of music, the lyrics in particular are very insightful" "This is because you are a moron with no taste"
Nu-Rave is the umbrella term used to describe a trio of distinct but united sounds; Hardcore Breaks, Rave Breaks and J-Tek... Music that takes the best from the original early 90s UK Rave scene and brings it up-to-date with an added twist for today's generation.
