When something is truly lacking potential of occurring. It cannot be done because it simply is not in the cards.

Pistol: "hey lets go spend money on some scratch offs"

Torque: "nah, that simply is not in the cards"

Pistol: "well maybe we should invite the Yak and Ratchy Rachel over?"

Torque: "that is not in the cards young sir."
