A fork of Rural Dictionary
"Mall capital of the world." One of the richest towns in New Jersey. Home of the strictest Blue law ever. You can't buy anything besides clothes and food on Sundays. 3 Malls in Paramus: Paramus Park, Garden State Plaza, & the Bergen Mall. Paramus sucks ass because we're broke. All of the teachers blew their money on SmartBoards and new computers, and the mayor does basically nothing. Paramus is home to the Spartans. They're actually a pretty good team. High Schoolers are slightly insane. The schools are all graphitti'd and pretty sucky. Both middle schools are crap. The kids in Paramus aren't too bad. Too much drama. It's really annoying. Fist fights and middle school sluts. Not much drug use. Cocaine incidents are so rare they make the news. And the main drug is smoking. Teens all have sex casually. Paramus kids overuse Facebook, are perverted, and are mainly white. There are tons of Asian kids, however they're never involved in any drama because they're studying. The main population is Catholic, but the number of Jews isn't low. Lots of Indians too. Barely any black kids or Spanish kids. Tons of chain stores. Panera, Hollister, Abercrombie, PetCo, McDonalds, Payless, Wendy's, etc. Usually doubles up on stores--if there is a McDonalds, there's another on the other side of town.Paramus isn't all it's hyped up to be. It's pretty nice if you aren't an annoying crackhead middle school whore. Also nice if you aren't looking for weed. Cause there are basically NO drugs in Paramus.
Typical Paramus middle school girl: a white Catholic who wears Hollister short shorts, talks on Facebook about how "OMFG MY LIIFEEE FUCCKIINGGG SUCKSSS. FML." Hates her school (who doesn't?), and shops everyday.
Paramus, NJ is the Mall Capital of The world. It is one of the most wealthy towns in North Jersey. Paramus is the town where the school systems are great, and there are many different types of people. Whatever street you choose to go down in Paramus there is certain to be at least 6 mansions/Estates estates are usually found at the end of a long private driveway in Paramus with a ton of private land to follow. If you want to live in Paramus your going to have to have plenty of money, otherwise Paramus may not be the best town for you. If you don't have the money to afford one house here don't even bother looking for any others. Because the cheapest house in Paramus is just about 2 million and thats the CHEAPEST ! Oh dear, so that is pretty much the over view of Paramus, It's gotta a lot of malls, great school systems and loads of cash. By the way, most people you see will be driving Mercedes, Audi's and BMW's so if you come here make sure to bring one of them ! Paramus NJ
Make sure you bring your platinum credit card and your limousine to Paramus otherwise you might not fit in too well. OH ! and you can't forget your Gucci bags ladies !
The shopping capital of Bergen County. Notable for having a Toys R Us, a Best Buy, and two McDonalds'. Has plenty of big buildings and signs for batophobics to get a panic attack over. Also worshipped for the legendary Paramus Park, the best mall in Bergen County, which has a Chick-fil-A and Auntie Anne's and gets commonly crowded during the holiday season. Home to Paramus Catholic.
Paramus is famous for having the best mall in Bergen. All hail Paramus Park!
The largest shopping mecca in the state. The kids of paramus spend their nights at the local applebees and mall almost every weekend in the winter beccuase there is nothing else to do in this town. A richy rich town where you get an $50,000 car for your first car. Everyone says we party hard, yeahh... thats not true at all there are absolutley no parties in this town. You will probably find about half of paramus down at the Jersey shore over the summer. We think we're tough, but really we arent at all.
Paramus is filled with malls and its really boring here.
A town in Bergen County, NJ. It's also know becuase of the enormous amounts of malls or shops here. There are 3 main malls: GSP (the most populated/older kids usually seen there), Paramus Park (younger kids), and Bergen Mall (idk..they have wholefoods and stuff). Mostly white, and the rest are asians with very small amount of blacks and a good amount of indians, arabs, hispanics, etc. It has...many elementary schools, two middle schools (west and east brook) and 1 high school. East Brook and West Brook students seems to be COMPLETELY different. The westbrookers in my grade are the more bigger, more party-ers, and richer people, but they're nice. Eastbrook are just...nice people. PHS is decent. The music program is nationally recognized. We actually have a good sports program and it's getting better. We're not all rich, that's a myth. This town is mostly middle to upper middle so we don't ALL drive BMW or mercedes and such, its common, but we have hondas and toyotas too. The people here are all generally nice, unlike some other towns. I think we don't have a problem with any towns except RW. This place is not ghetto at all (and we dont try to be). We barely have any drugies, but the drugies are generally accepted. A lot or people party. The Asians are your not so typical asians here....trust me. I'm one of them. We also have a double of everything you can imagine. This place is empty on Sundays.
A: Where do you live? B: Paramus A: Wait i think i know that place B: GSP A: Oh ok
Shamelessly seeking validation/adoration from anyone who will give it to you. From the movie, "Soap Dish" in which Sally Field's character is feeling bad about herself, so she goes to the Garden State Plaza (a.k.a. Paramus Mall) to get recognized and adored by her fans. Rose: "Give them my best in Paramus!"
"Did you see Madonna is doing a show in the Village?" "Uh, oh, someone's going to Paramus..."
Largest private school in NJ, located in an upper-middle class Northern NJ town,Paramus;principal boasts of an abnormally large collection of flags around the perimeter of the building, diverse student body,a large 'bubble' used for sports much like one used in professional sports arenas, and a large weight training facility; generally less snooty than the other North Jersey Catholic High Schools; home to many guidos, wiggers, and several other people who assume themselves to be ghetto fabulous; many residents of P-town, Clifton,Shag-Lawn, and every other Northern town go here; common to see (Tony Soprano) James Gandolfini's dad in the cafeteria serving fries; often goes by the abbreviation "PC";also known as the best high school ever.
I feel like every time I go to the Garden State Plaza I see people in their Paramus Catholic uniforms from the co-ed uniform company.
