Something that Young Thug’s Lawyer tried to use to get him out of jail
“Thug means Truly Humble Under God.” Said by young thug’s lawyer in a attempt to get his client to not go jail by claiming him to be infact Truly Humbled under god
According to the lawyer of Young THUG, the word thug does not mean what it might appear. Young Thug once came upon the realization that if he had managed to make it out of the constant cycle of hopelessness and sadness which is the "trenches", he would be "Truly Humbled Under God". That's why THUG, means Truly Humbled Under God, rather than someone who is thuggin' that shit out in the streets.
Person 1: Yo dude look its young THUG, i guess he really is a young thug
Person 2: Nah u dumb fuck, that's Young Truly Humbled Under God, what r u even on?
The moniker that THUG stands for. It's where rapper Young Thug originates his name sake according to defense testimony in Fulton County Superior Court of Atlanta Georgia.
Most people think about a thug as a criminal, but to Jeffery, 'THUG' had a different meaning, something very personal. It was his pact, that if he could ever make it, ending the "endless cycle of hopelessness," and that if he achieved his goal, he would be "Truly Humbled Under God." That's what 'THUG' means.
When someone is "Humbled" that person is brought back down to earth from their ego tower. A person who thinks he is better than he actually is, is in need of being humbled.
"Wow, did you see how Ahraz got Humbled in smash bros?"
"Razentine got humbled today at work, AGAIN!"
"I've never seen someone get humbled so bad playing Toon Link."
"My Indian friend got humbled after all his claims of being immortal to gun bullets."
Verb getting humbled: to take someone's blissful pride, self-centeredness, narcissism or ego down to a point where they realize they're not the *hot shit* or *alpha* they thought they were.
Often done in a polite way without involving physical or verbal aggression, and even less so, passive-aggressiveness.
