A slightly uncomfortable feeling that you get in your throat when you eat or drink something you’ve never had before. This feeling usually occur when consuming spicy, tangy, or flavorful items. The feeling can last for 1-10 seconds.
I tried relish for the first time yesterday, and felt a Kick in the throat.
"Oi! Is it true that your mum got her back doors kicked in last week?"
