A fork of Rural Dictionary
Australian slang that is essentially just the word 'actual' and is very similar to 'for real', but is either used as an exclamation, typically in response to something that is so crazy, abnormal or strange that it requires the word 'actuals' to be used as it needs to be reaffirmed that that thing happened, or it is used in a sentence where it is used to emphasise something that someone is talking about.
('Actuals' used as an exclamation)
Davo: Oi mate, some bloke's selling smokes for $15 a packet.
Steve: Actuals?
Davo: Yeah bra go get some before they're gone ay.
('Actuals' used to emphasise something)
Davo: Oi mate have you tried the kebabs at the new shop? They're actuals so good.
Steve: Nah, they go alright ay?
Davo: Yeah brother, make sure you get one with lamb and garlic sauce, it's mad.
An alternative for "literally" or "seriously".
