"bama"
Bama is a nick name for the state Alabama, or for the University of Alabama. It's an amazing place to go. The residents are friendly and show that sweet southern hospitality. Bama is meant to be a good word that makes you think or football, creeks, hollers, history, and southern culture, but many yankees up in DC think that it's "cool" to use it as an insult. But I'd much rather be in Bama enjoying a great Roll Tide game, than in DC getting shot at and worst of all, being a YANKEE.
Good Ole Redneck: I love watchin' some sweet ole Bama football down here in Bama.
Good-for-nothing Yankee: Yo dawg, he don't be wearing some baggy pants and a wife-beater, he such a bama.
