An acronnym used after a funny thing: Rolling on floor laughing.
Lol man that was hilarious!! Yeah i know ... rofl ...
Acronym for Rolling on the Floor Laughing. A word that only nuubs and nerds care to say aloud. And a word more commonly used then lol. It can be mixed with other words, phrases, and acronyms, to form awkward AND unnecessary chat slang, such as ROFLCOPTER, or ROFL MY WAFFLES (lego me eggo), or ROFL MUH NIG!
On AIM: "Yo dude, I just dropped my iPod touch in the toilet!" "ROFL!" "Haha yes I agree! Stupid Apple!" In Reality: "Hey dude I just lost all my lunch money on the bus!" "ROFL!" "......You kiss your mother with that mouth?"
To use a UAV jammer in Call of Duty 4 and hide somewhere among the map that one is in a game at. This is done the best in a team tactical with 2 other friends where the match is a "team deathmatch." It is used to make the other team mad and is funny when one has the eavesdrop perk also equipped.
Chris: "I'm so good at rofling, they can't even find me. That's what's up." mnky: "rofl. haha me too. rofling is so fun. oh my goodness he walked right by me."
The worst of all acronyms, the "rofl" came about in the later 90's decade when the teens took over instant messaging and things became funnier and funnier, people were no longer "laughing out loud" they were actually rolling on the floor laughing. damn those some losers
