Contrary to popular belief, Abercrombie is not a preppy store. Its patrons may choose to say otherwise, but its display of cheaply-made clothing and provacative advertisements all point to the opposite end of prep spectrum. When the true definition of Prep is thought of, it is not usually connotated with a thin t-shirt that has blatant innuendo written across the chest, which is what Abercrombie excells in. Abercrombie is, in summary, a sad excuse for a Prep store where those who desperately want to be the epitome of Prep spend their money which they, in most cases, got from their parents. It is important to remember, however, that Abercrombie was not always in such ruin. When it first started in 1892 and before it became, essentially, a place for sexually-repressed teenagers to buy conforming (in both senses of the word) clothing, it was a "store that outfitted wealthy businessmen for their outdoor pursuits". In just a little over a century it has a gone from businessmen pursuing the outdoors to teens pursuing the fastest way to be considered cool by their peers. When Abercrombie is thought of as preppy, it makes the true preps shutter. Even the children's version, abercrombie sic, albeit not as sexual, is just as shocking. abercrombie sic which carries Girls' sizes 7-16 and boys 8-20, has shirts with messages that are so rude and egotistical it is not unusual to want to smack the kid that is wearing it. An example would be "The party starts when I arrive" (a Girls t-shirt) and "Once a winner, always a winner" (found in the Boys' section) make the adults of our society involuntarily gag. This spoiled attitude is what they fought for in 3 wars? It's truly enough to make anyone vomit, or as The Official Preppy Handbook puts it, yawn in color.
It is an insult to prepness when Abercrombie is ranked along the likes of Ralph Lauren and LLBean.
A store in which insecure folk whom are mostly of the teenage prep demographic go to buy ripped jeans and shirts which advertise "ABERCROMBIE" on them because they are too lazy to rip their own jeans or write their own advertisement. But the cost of the clothes is unimportant because their daddy is paying for all of it.

It is a clothing store for teenagers. They sell very comfortable clothes, really soft, but are super expensive. They are mostly preppy clothes. usually when a person is wearing all abercrombie, many say they are rich. as much as I LOVE their clothes they are much too overpriced. I think their bags cost more to make then there simple cotton shirts. Abercrombie and fitch is the more adult store. Sizes 0-12. The child store is 8-16. THe clothes are very tight fitting. they are made for skinny people, which everybody thinks is a little bit unfair, but if you are like me and really abnormally skinny then this is probably the only store that will be able to fit you. The clothes are quality made, they last me a long time. pros: comfy, durable clothes, cons: too expensive, sizes are too small.

A really nice clothing line that is for white people. Sometimes foreigners in Canada try to wear that kind of stuff but they only do it because they can't fit in any other way. It does look better on white waspy girls but maybe thats just because that is how it is portrayed in the media. It's kind of pathetic then on the other hand suburbs are silly too because all people do there is drive to the malls, buy clothes and the hottest girls always scowl at guys anyways. It's a pretty tough set up to socialize. Anyways abercrombie has the sexiest clothes out there. Wearing that type of clothing will raise a girls rating by a full ten percent. Say a slightly chubby girl wore something crappy like boca and she was a 6, she would be a 7 if she wore good looking abercrombie clothes. Maybe they are too sexual and teens should wait before they have sex and casually blow guys at partys but A&F clothes are still hot as fuck.
Hopefully some people that wear Abercrombie are still virgins because girls that lose their virginity before they are done High School are sluts. They shouldn't fuck until they are well into University and have met someone they want to live with forever. Abercrombie is a stupid name but the clothes look good so it's ok.
