A fork of Rural Dictionary
As we all know after listening to Classical Music, Classic means crap which is a perfect description for this filth. Classic Rock is a desolate tract of ogerish yobs pluking metal strings attached to blocks of wood and bashing trashcans with sticks while a very feminine castrated man that all sound like Robert 'I hate girls' Plant screams "Whole Lotta Love" and not one mention of smacking ya bitch or pimpin' ya ride is heard. Go on Launch.com and search for Led Zeppelin and look at the Biography. They invented Metal which everybody hates and they stole all their riffs from other non-rap therefore crap artists. I haven't heard them but anyone that has to steal their music must be totally talentless because rock requires no talent to begin with unlike rap. Listen to P.Diddy's 'Come With Me'. It has pretty corny lyircs but the beat is incredible and is better than anything Led Zeppelin could steal. Rap was orginated by black artists unlike rock which Elvis created. Because we are better than you rap is far superior. If you disagree you are a racist and a neo-nazi KKK motherfucker! My dad made me listen to 'Dark Side of the Moon' by Stink Floud and it only swore once! What a piece of crap! It is no masterpieve like 'Beg for Mercy' I can tell you. I urge all you are old people living in the past to grow up. Times are changing, get with it, just the revolution. Music is finally good and you're still stuck in the 70s when it sucked!
If you listen to the music carefully, you'll notice, yes it is true, NONE of it is computer generated. It's all guitar crap! Who wants to hear a Satan worshipping drug addict scream about 'I WANT MA DRUGGGSSSS, GIMMMEEEE MYYY DRRUGGGSSS!'
only type of music that is the dialogue and the stage direction of an entire generation
Classic rock is what makes bad bands of today look really bad
Classic rock is a style of music that arose in the late 50's/early 60's out of the then-popular blues genre. It was mainly derived from British teenagers who attempted to emulate the blues movement in the U.S. but created a whole new style all their own. Classic rock is known for its warm, overdriven guitar sounds, unique drumming patterns, melodic vocals, and simple yet innovative chord progressions. 90% of classic rock is based off the I-IV-V chord progression, and yet it all sounds different-quite an accomplishment if you ask me. Some of the best music in the world falls in the classic rock genre. In the 70's, classic rock began to progress and sound more modernized, with bands such as Journey, later Pink Floyd, and Boston spearheading the movement. Classic rock is not to be confused with southern rock.
Some well-known classic rock bands are Led Zeppelin, Cream, AC/DC, Jimi Hendrix, Dire Straits, Queen, The Doors, Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, ZZ Top, Journey, Boston, Foreigner, etc...
Rock n Roll that was dominant during the 1960's through the 1970's.It does not consist of guns n roses, black crowes, or any other band these assholes seem to think are classic rock.

What revolutionized the music world. What nu-metal will never live up to.
An umbrela term for a large aray of guitar-driven music; much of the music falling under the term come from vastly different time periods and much of it have very little in common. This allows groups such as the Sex Pistols and The Beatles to be held in the same context. An example of confusion this term perpetrates is that Steely Dan and Boston are the same genre. This sort of confusion continues into infinity. Any guitar-led band from 1965 to 1989 has probably been considered "classic rock" on a few occasions.
Joseph: "Say, Mel, I hear the kids are calling Guns 'n' Roses 'classic rock' these days." Melatrophine: "They call Bob Dylan and Neil Young 'classic rock,' too. Joseph: "I must say, thay makes no sence at all."
