The greek god of herding. Pan used a horn to herd his animals and when olympus was assaulted by titans, pan blew his horn scaring the living hell out of the titans. This is why we have the word "panic."

2.) The proper pronunciation of "pen", a writing utensil, in The North and the Midwest.
