Cabling

Cabling is a person who is the opposite sex of what they were born as. The people who have changed their sexual orientation believe that they are not comfortable being straight, so they decided to change because that is what they truly desire.

is that man cabling? he sure does act, look, and seem like one.

Hooked the cables to

Phrase that is a euphemism for someone controlling, brainwashing or having some type of powerful influence over another person. Phrase can be either stated in a jokingly manner or dead serious.

Ever since Johnny began seeing Betsy, a master manipulator, he had become a different person. He became very distant and standoffish towards all of his friends. I believe old girl done went and hooked the cables to our poor dumb friend. I guess the power of pussy is a real thing.

death cable

An electrical cable with a wall plug on one end and exposed wires on the other. Called a death cable because if you touch the exposed wires the electricity will kill you.

John: "Did you hear about Henry? He made a death cable, touched it, and died." Sam: "What an idiot."

suicide cable

A simple electrical cord that has prongs on both ends. Thus, if you plug one end in to a live outlet, the exposed prongs are energized and dangerous. Such a device is actually useful, for example, to "inject" power into a dead circuit from a generator. However, due to the inherent safety issues, you generally can't find them for purchase, nor would a licensed electrician ever provide you with one. Thus, do-it-yourself handymen are left to splice together their own version of this device (probably making them unsafer).

When the hurricane hit and the power went out, I fired up the generator and jacked it in to the outlet in my garage with a suicide cable; at least I was able to run a few lights and my refrigerator.

cable creep

The slow, monthly increase of cable television charges in amounts small enough for the customer to tend to ignore, but later result in significant overall increases.

A year ago, my cable bill was $88/month and now it's $117. I hate cable creep. A few bucks in cable creep and now my bill is 30% higher than a year ago. My monthly cable crept from $55 to $69 in less than one year.
