A baseball bat or similar weapon that can be used to 'beat the truth' out of someone.

"How did you find out where he was hiding his money?"

- "I just used some alabama truth serum"

"huh?"

- "I beat the shit outta' him with a baseball bat until he told me where the money was"

Unfortunate truth - a wannabe arm-chair philosopher who will infringe on individual rights merely based on their skewed version of reality. In other words an unfortunate truth is a walking talking rectum, and THAT is the unfortunate truth.
