When you return a meal at a restaurant for having something on it you didn't want. But instead of making you a new meal item, they remove the item and try to cover it up with mayonaise

Instead of getting a new hamburger they just gave them apology mayonaise

The ancient and still present artform of a female getting something completely wrong but never actually being able to apologise for it.

Instead they will just be nice to you for a prolonged amount of time hoping that they'll make you forget about their faux pas without being humbled enough to say "Sorry".

So how did it go last night?

It was OK, I didn't get an apology.

It's OK because I got the female apology, enjoyed the lack of nagging so much I forgot why I was mad at her in the first place.

A pizza that has been delivered to you surprisingly, out of the blue, as a delicious subtle apology for a previous quarrel with a friend or loved one.

Person 1: "I'm sorry we had that huge argument about that crap I can't remember now."

Person 2: "It's cool, I'm just glad we're still friends. I love you."

Person 2: "Was that you! ? It even had BBQ Chicken, my fav! You cheeky monkey! I wondered who had sent that.

Person 1: "I'm glad your tastebuds were feelin' it!"

Person 2: "Classic Apology Pizza."

An apology that does not require an "it's ok" response. Usually the person who is being apologized to should actually be doing the apologizing. Rhetorical apologies are often stated with large amounts of unmistakable sarcasm.

Incorrect response...
Guy: Oh come on girl! What's wrong with having a little fun?
Girl: Um do I look like the kind of person who's ok with just having "a little fun?" I'm not a slut. Sorry.
Guy: That's ok.
Girl: That was a rhetorical apology you doucher.

Correct response...
