Word popularised in East Melbourne used to refer to someone who is weird, nerdy and overall uncool. Or to call someone ugly or goofy looking. It can also be used to describe something Wack, embarrassing and again uncool

To "Gerk" simply mean to act "retarded", most often than not in response to something that offends said person

The term is normally used in songs like

and is also used throughout other members of "SPIDERGANG"
