paz afuera

A widely unknown phrase that originated in and around the South American country of Colombia around the end of 2005. This word is the direct Spanish translation of the English "peace out".

Bob: Well, I better go.
Bill: Okay. Paz afuera.

afuera!

Literally "out!" in Spanish. It's the last thing that useless ministries and other public agencies hear before being shut down with the aim of adjusting excessive public spending.
Term coined by the Argentine President Javier Milei.
