The culture started on the Internet of making fun of people and/or insulting them by calling them "cringy" or "cringe" for doing something which doesn't harm or somehow insult anyone nor anything.
(The bad kind of)Edgy 13-year-olds calling people cringy (their holy grail of insults) because of something they enjoy. They got the word "cringy" from LeafyisHere and often use it to feel better about themselves since most of them have crippling depression because of their lack of emotional development or some other insecurity.
I'm so tired of seeing cringe culture on my dash.

Cringe culture is a community of people making fun of others for their interests. Most targeted communities are: furries, cosplayers, weebs, emos but there are many more. However, these communities fight back with the quote "CRINGE CULTURE IS DEAD RAWR X3" (I mean, they are not wrong or anything so have fun doing what you like if you aren't hurting anyone! :3).
Person 1: see Emma right there? She's a furry. Isn't that cringey?

The social landscape wherein those who display a facet of their identity that is considered “cringy” become targets of mockery, bullying and harassment, typically via social media sites like Reddit or YouTube.
“Cringe content” is usually aimed at completely harmless behavior and/or individuals and was popularized in the early 2010s during the boom of Anti-SJW Cringe Compilation videos on YouTube.
Person 1: I really want to cosplay at the convention but I'm afraid it'll come off as cringy.
