This phrase is used to request or suggest leniency. To go easy on someone, or to be forgiving.

"Cut some slack, he's had a tough day"
"Cut me some slack while I'm learning"

-back off and take it easy

if u argue with somebody and he/she just wont stop bringing up arguments against u, u tell them:
