the police in general or a police officer, taken from the 60's police drama "Hawaii 5-0"
Ah, shit! Slow down! A five-oh set up a speed trap up ahead!
Slang term for the police. Originated from the popular TV show Hawaii 5-0. Commonly used as a warning that the police are nearby.
*on the phone* S: Hello? D: Dude, five-oh, take off. S: What about you? D: Uh, they kinda spotted me. S: *hauls ass*
An obscure colloquism referring to the Police (Fuzz,Pig,Copper,etc.). Origin is unknown, but apparently gives reference to "Hawaii 5-0" (a popular television show of the late 1970s), together with the inherent ape-like qualities associated to low-ranking law enforcers.
"...Quick, turn down the music - Monkey Five-Oh is right outside!"
A brave band of individuals who have taken it upon themselves to keep a keen eye out for police ambushes.
Damn, I wish I could be a member of the five oh patrol
