There's not a whole lot fun about most facts, so usually when someone tells you they have fun facts, they have misinformation, especially if it's coming from someone with a false name.
Fun facts are usually bullshit.
A short fact that can be about anything, as long as it is interesting and fun. A fun fact can be told at any time and doesn't have to be relevant to anything. A true fun fact should be memorable and make people laugh. Beware: You should never repeat a fun fact that another friend has told, fun facts are only fun the first time they are heard.
In conversation: Lauren: "Hey everyone, do you want to hear my fun fact of the day?" Friends: "Yesss please tell us!" Lauren: "If you yelled for 8 years, 7 months and 6 days, you would have produced enough sound energy to heat one cup of coffee!" Friends: "Wow! That was so much fun! You have really brightened up our day!"
A kind of fact that disguises itself as a "fun fact" but it is not fun at all.
Person 145: "Wanna hear a fun fact?" Person 223: "Sure." Person 145: "We are labeled as numbers because we are subjects for these made-up conversations." Person 223: "That is not fun at all..." Person 145: "But it is a fact."
A short fact that is usually unknown or random that is told for laughs, to create awed reactions at your obscure knowledge, or to fill an awkward silence. Keep in mind, it is not typically a very important fact because it is not relevant to everyday life. It is not just any piece of information (such as what you did that day) but something that can be considered a fact. A fun fact can come from any category, from math to animals. To put it simply, useless tidbits of information to impress your friends with! **Can be shortened to FF **

When someone has a ridiculously useless piece of information they decide to tell you. Either about their day, something they saw, or any other irrelevant comment. Usually described in unnecessary detail, with exaggeration, and over-excitedness.
So I was biking to work and saw some little kids selling lemonade and bought some. I let them keep the change too. Haha fun fact.
