Deaning or pulling a DEAN is to disappear, ghost, or abandon someone/something for a long period of time ( 6 years) despite consistently promising that you or it are coming soon.
The process of Deaning someone is often elongated by a prolonged fall down the stairs on Instagram live or any retelling/reposts of the aforementioned event.
Man A: hey has that girl still not texted you back?
Man B: yeah she's really pulling a dean on me.
Woman A: Dean said we'd get the album next year right?
Woman B: Yeah but that was 5 years ago.
