1) to drop to one's knee, regardless of surroundings, bow one's head and pray to the Almighty that somehow you won't fuck up whatever it is you are doing
2) to randomly drop to one's knee and bow one's head - in the fashion of "professional" football player and "quarterback" Tim Tebow - in public settings (see also: planking & owling)

Losing a football game in heart-wrenching fashion to an underdog. Usually an unlikely comeback in the final quarter of a football game. Derived from Tim Tebow of the Denver Broncos.

A phrase used to mock Denver Broncos quarterback and former Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow. (The "greater than" sign is preceded by something very bad.)
Coined by readers of ESPN.com following the Broncos' 45-10 loss to the Detroit Lions on October 30, 2011, in which Tebow had two turnovers that directly resulted in touchdowns and finished with a passer rating of 56.8.
