Literally means a hundred thousand welcomes... Used as... "Hello", but only tourists in ireland use it or people who are talking to Irish people... Irish people don't actually use it themselves...

Tom went to answer the knock at the door and hollered "Cead mile failte!" as he answered it and saw his family from over in the states.
