dead name

verb To refer to a trans person by their birth name, as opposed to their new legal name. (Usually done mockingly, or insultingly.)

"Some bouncers will deliberately dead name me after seeing my old name on my ID."

A phrase meaning “given name” that trannies who can’t accept themselves use. People who use this term are commonly seen being easily offended and downvoting posts that hurt their feelings on many apps.

Doctor: Hey John. I have some news… John: “Um John is my dead name, it’s Joanne now” Doctor: Uh, ok Joanne, you have prostate cancer.

A name given on birth, a name that the person using this word most likley dosent go by. Usually used by Trans, Nonbinary or people questioning gender.
