To give a non material object to some one ans ask for it back. E.i Idea

Tony had a great idea for a new blender and gave his idea to James, but Tony saw the profit in that and asked for his idea back!

East Indian Giver

"Indian giver" is a pejorative expression used to describe a person who gives a "gift" and later wants it back or who expects something of equivalent worth in return for the item. "East Indian giver" is when somebody receives a gift, and then in turn gifts the original giver a small piece of the original gift received.

For Joes birthday, Steve bought him a 30pk of Joes favorite beer as a birthday gift. A week later, for Steves wedding, Joe gave 1 of the beers out of the same 30pk to Steve as a gift. Joe is an East Indian Giver
