When someone tells lies or stories to fit in with the crowd.

me: I just bought a new car! Greg: I know, I bought a new car and a house. me: Come on Greg, you don't have to lie to kick it.

It means you don't have to lie to impress a person or to be accepted. Basically its hiding something from someone or lying about something to fit in.

Me: I hate it when guys wear skinny jeans. Marques: me too! Me: Pshh you don't have to lie to kick it, i know you gotta pair.

You ain't got to lie to kick it

When one exaggerates the truth or simply tells lies about themselves to be better impress, hang out, or date another person.

Person 1: Deceivingly tells someone else that they have a record deal inorder to impress Person 2. Person 2: Knows that Person 1 is lying and tells them: You ain't got to lie to kick it with me
