We were going to travel the world and have all sorts of adventures, but we had the mortgage to pay, my parents needed someone to look in on them, I lost my job, Cheryl got pregnant - you know, life happened - and all those grand plans were forgotten.
A term used to appreciate that certain situations, while the fault of someone or some group, was perhaps destiny.
Life happened and everyone moved on.
