one in the pipe

A humorous phrase used when a person, who is caught off guard, completely and immediately ends a violent situation by being violent first/faster/more efficiently. (usually a punch thrown resulting in a knockout, or a gun fired fatally at an opponent) The action taken would be referred to as being the 'one in the pipe' and the person who performed said action would be in posession of it. Similar to saying "I was ready" even though there was no way anyone could have seen something coming.

When the man talking to Darius' girlfriend tried to throw a punch at him, Darius acted quickly by throwing an even faster punch, knocking the assailant out cold. "He didn't know I had one in the pipe." -Darius
