Yids

Term, originally used by the rival fans of Tottenham Hotspur to mock their Jewish origin. However, Spurs fans adopted this term to counter the racism.

'Yid Army!' 'Yids on tour, la la la!' 'Yiddo!' 'Yids'

yid

An Eastern European Jew. The term is often interpreted as offensive, which is a major misconception. The word Yiddish is not offensive, so neither is Yid. The word Yid is used to differentiate between an Eastern European, Yiddish-speaking Jew and an Israeli, Hebrew-speaking Jew.

Simeon is a Yid. However, he prefers to be called Jewish.

Yid

A Yiddish word. It means Jew. The plural of Yid is Yidden.

Everyone who thinks that Chris is a good name for a yid has another thing coming Saying “Hey, Yid!” is rude, but saying that Yidden speak Yiddish is not. I am indeed a yid, but I’m pretty sure that my Hebrew name gave it away. If you give a yid a cookie, he’ll be sure to make a bracha on it.
