terhuned

To accept a video recorded rant posted on social media as real, and to subsequently post a vicious, vulgar or hateful, but most often hyberbolic over-reaction in response to the video clip. Meanwhile everyone else watching the video knows that the original video post was obviously a joke, and often read the comments just to see who got taken in by the joke.

This originated with the social media postings of comedian Brent Terhune in 2020, who perfected the performance of a character who was obviously an over-the-top caricature of a Donald Trump supporter, and posted that character's rants online. The worst responses are often reposted by Terhune himself for his audience.

(actual twitter response to an anti-Terhune clip) "Oh man, You just got Terhuned! Hey, don't feel bad, man, it happens to the best of us all."

Characteristics of a Dirty Spaceman

nish

Another way to say "Shit". Taken from radio edits of songs where they flip the word backwards so it can be played on the radio.

Now used by people who feel that actually cussing around people is sort of distasteful.

"Yo, check this nish out!"

saltacious

The character of saltiness. A saltacious person "gets salty" with others.

"Look, you jerk. Don't be saltacious with me. You're the one who fucked up here.

jonze

1. (n.) a strong desire for or a yearn for; an addiction to-
2. (v.) to want something very much, to crave something

Bootstrapper

1. A term of contempt applied to someone who believes the notion that every success they ever had in life was due to their own efforts and initiative.

a. as in "pulled himself up by his own boot straps".

b. Their success required absolutely no input from anyone else.

c. Nor are they willing to admit that luck or institutionalized privilege had anything to do with their success.

d. Furthermore, others would also be successful if they would just stop being so lazy and just to work hard and succeed, like the bootstrapper did.

e. Usually held by neo-liberals and followers of objectivism.

"He thinks he built that company with his own two hands, without any help and without help from Daddy and his trust fund. What a bootstrapper!"
