a person or thing that is considered very wack and lame; can also mean a person who is slightly "hood"

George Bush is a very ratchet president.

beast mode

a state of mind in which a person becomes angry or have "beast like" personality. Orgin-Lil Boosie's beast mode; can also be refered to a person who is high and is layed back
