1. a large, tall or heavy person of either gender: a fat and/or homely woman should be more properly called a 'cow' (conventional slang)
2. any large animal or thing (colloquial)

1. That 6' 5" 375 pound lineman is a real moose!
2. My German Shepherd dog is a MOOSE 150 pounds!!
That Kenworth truck is a moose for size!!

1. a remarkable or unique American person or thing or a person or thing patently American
2. sarcastically, an American person patently or annoyingly ordinary or typical as in the phrase "You're an American original."

John Wayne, blue jeans, baseball and Harley-Davidson motorcycles are American originals.

Vera was annoyed at Tom for chauvinistically criticising her as she was driving the car while riding the brake pedal. She said to Tom, "Boy, you're an American original."

slang whiskey, especially of cheap or inferior grade

origin uncertain: may allude to wild bar brawls in a drunken state and the common male given name “John” for anyone so struck in such a fight indiscriminately and/or may be a corruption of ‘hooch

The cowboy always travelled on the drive with a bottle of Who-Hit-John in his hand.
