A pair of people who have been dating so long that they no longer care how they look, and therefore wear sweatpants everywhere; often associated with a near-inseparable couple that doesn't seem entirely happy.

a bad excuse used to get out of a solicitor phone call; can be expanded to bad excuses for other reasons
origin: "I can't talk right now, my daughter is student teaching." Use: "Hey, wheres paul? i thought he had to work today." "nah. called in, said he had a sore ankle." "Oh, i see. his daughter must be student teaching."
