A fork of Rural Dictionary
When a certain situation was epic, good, amazing, fun, etc. It is used to describe only one part of a whole event, night or time.
Ex. -Holy crap that was a good night, especially when we got free drink from the bartender, what a scene that was! -Last night was such a time, the lineup was such a scene because those guys ahead of us were so jokes. -That was a scene! -What a scene! Who knew those 2 pole danced!?
Having a time means you had a good time. Basically people got too lazy and dropped the good.
1. "Last night was a time." 2. "I had a time with you yesterday." 3. "Let's get drunk and have a time!"
