A long distance yawn occurs when a person takes a video of themselves yawning and sends it to someone else who proceeds to yawn after seeing it.

"Dude, take a video me yawning and text it to someone."

"What the fuck for?"

"Cuz then they'd yawn, itd be funny."

"Exactly!"
