An adjective (not a noun) meaning: cheerful, festive, gleeful, jolly, jovial, lighthearted, merry, mirthful. Homosexuals call themselves this (and want(ed) others to call them this) because it sounds better than the other words used to refer to them. Though many homosexuals seem to be this way, they are not the only ones who can be.
