Atticwife

An often dub-con and sometimes non-con and dead dove trope where a character who is locked away somewhere out of love/obsession. The term originates from the plot of Jane Eyre and gained popularity somewhere in 2022 / 2023. Synonyms: See also: dubcon, noncon, dead dove, yandere.

Lady 1: Did you know in Charlotte Brontë's book, Jane Eyre, Bertha Mason was Rochester’s atticwife?
