Lead singer/screamer of Lamb of God. No doubt about it, Randy Blythe IS god. Worship him.
Randy always starts the "Wall of Death" during the Lamb of God concerts. Craaazy shit.
Jason Bittner is a god, a metal icon, and the drummer for Shadows Fall. He can double-bass drum faster than anyone could imagine.
Need an example? "The Light that Blinds" off of Shadows Fall's new cd The War Within.
Excellent thrash metal band out of Massachusetts who did nothing but TOUR, TOUR, TOUR to get their name out there. A Shadows Fall show is never boring; frontman Brian Fair can never seem to stay in one place on stage. Just watch out for the massive dreadlocks. JASON BITTNER (drummer) is a GOD...does double bass faster than most people could ever dream of.
The new album, The War Within, is excellent...as are the other ones.
An awesome melodic-progressive metal band hailing from Finland. They named themselves after a 1960 murder that happened near Lake Bodom, in their hometown, where three teenagers were violently slain. The killer's name is NOT Bodom....the suspect's name is Nils Gustaffson. Children of Bodom has kickass double-bass drums, two extremely talented guitarists, awesome basslines, and some of the happiest keyboards in all of progressive/death metal.
Something Wild Hatebreeder Follow the Reaper Hate Crew Deathroll get them all!!
Charicteristic sound effect always made by frontman Alexi Laiho from the ass-kicking band Children of Bodom.
If you need an example of the YAAOOWW!! sound...listen to the song 'Everytime I Die' off the COB album "Follow the Reaper". Hell yes....
Very talented band from Orange County, California. The combination of Alex Varkatzas's screaming and drummer Brandon Saller's melodic singing creates a perfect balance. The lyrics to most songs are influenced by Alex's dark, gloomy mindset.
You should add the albums 'Suicide Notes and Butterfly Kisses' and 'The Curse' to your cd collection if you haven't already done so.
A Norwegian black metal band that has a unique style all their own. Not only do they visually make a statement, but their music does as well. Dimmu were on Ozzfest 2004, which hopefully got their name out to a few more people in the United States. Vocalist Shagrath helps to make the band one of a kind.
Two great songs: 'Cataclysm Children' (English) 'Allehelgens Dod I Helveds Rike' (Norwegian...if you can't tell)
