When a member of an emergency service (Fire, Police, EMS) gets a photo or quote on TV or in a newspaper, they pay the "hero tax" to their coworkers. generally coffee/donuts brought to the station.

A degoratory term used in MOBA-games (originally in DotA Allstars) to describe a hero that is easy to play and typically overpowered at the same time. Often used to emphasize that someone is not actually good at the game, but is just a noob playing an easy hero, which might be the only reason why that person is performing well.
Some random noob: "Look at me I have 5-0 score!!!" An actual good player: "Dude you're playing Yurnero. He's a noob hero.. Anything less than 10-0 at this point is bad"
A term originally coined by SPC Groth while deployed in eastern Afghanistan. He used the term to describe a soldier who was covered in his own blood and tears. It then caught on to most of the camp in the following weeks. Songs were written about it, etc.
