side

A gay man who enjoys foreplay, such as kissing, cuddling, manual stimulation, fellatio, and analingus, but not actual sex.

As with anything, discuss any risks and comfort levels with any potential partner(s) prior to having sex. Have real conversations. It’s okay to like what you like and not like what you don’t, as long as you don’t mislead anyone.

“I’m more of a side.”

Sided

Person 2: "Fine, I'll help you out."
*one day later, after the exam*
Person 1: " So how did you do, I got a 73?"
Person 2: "That's it? i got a 92!"
Person 1: "Damn it! Sided again!"

on-the-side

a) someone's sidekick

b) an offensive term for someone's mistress or lover

If you want an on-the-side definition b), don't be in a classical ltr; look for an open relationship instead.
