A slight mistake or mishap that ends up costing you everything.

"I was at a restaurant and accidentally bumped into a guy eating his dinner. I apologized and I thought everything was alright. The guy turned out to be the president of the company I work for. The next day I was fired. It was a real seinfeld tragedy."
